Hi All, Well,
Hannah went to her 2 week checkup last Friday, and I think it's
been proven that we grow 'em big. Hannah was 10 lb 3 oz.
That puts her in the 97th percentile for weight (meaning that
she's heavier than 97% of the other babies her age) and 90th
percentile for height (21.5").
Hannah has been doing
great - obviously eating well and also still sleeping pretty
good. Right now we're up a couple of times in the middle
of the night. As you can see below, Hannah likes to be
held. We're thinking she's going to be the snuggler in the
family...
Have a great week!

Hi Everyone, It's
hard to believe Hannah will be two weeks old this week.
Lisa had her weighed a couple of days ago and she's gained over
a pound already. Her first checkup is at the end of this
week. She's been doing really well - sleeping 3-4 hours at
a pop some times. I don't want to jinx it, but she's been
sleeping a whole lot better than Logan did at this age.
We'll take what we can get! Logan is doing great with her.
In the last picture below, Logan was swinging her in her swing.
He was gentle and nice, which was a relief to Mommy and Daddy!

Hi All, Hannah is
doing great. She's laying in my lap right now - and I've
got to say, she's quite a sleeper as her head bobs up and down
with my typing! She's been sleeping for longer stints,
which would be great for Lisa if these stints happened at night.
Unfortunately, Hannah's schedule is off by about 12 hours.
I remember it being that way with Logan - just as clueless this
time as to how to get it switched around. In the meantime,
it's some pretty sleepless nights. Hannah has been a real
joy - I'm amazed how different it is relative to Logan - we're
so much more relaxed and everything is so much more natural.
Its been great just taking it in - we realize now how fast this
time goes by. Have a great week - Love, Rich, Lisa, Logan
& Hannah.

Hi Everyone, We are
now home. Lisa and Hannah got released from the hospital
around 1PM today. Everything is going great at home except
for the tired bodies all the way around - that and the
incredible construction going on around us. Of all the
days for the contractor to decide to kick it in, it had to be
today. There were probably 10 people outside, sawing off
our roof, nailing, grinding, and basically shaking the whole
house. We weren't about to turn them away - we want to get
this work done, but the timing was incredible nonetheless (see
picture).
Logan did surprisingly
well. At the beginning Hannah was crying and I think it
scared Logan a little. His eyes started to tear up because
he was so confused. Later in the day he was bringing
Hannah toys and at the end of the day he was petting her head -
I think it's all going to work out fine. I couldn't help
but feel sorry for him though. He looked so confused and
pathetic for awhile...
Times, they are a changin'...

Hi All, We got
about 5 hours of sleep at the hospital last night - not bad, but
we're pretty beat today. Hannah is doing well - a sleepy
little child and a good eater. Unfortunately, she keeps
falling asleep when she's eating - so we like the fact that
she's doing both well, we'd just prefer that she not do them at
the same time!
Well, I'm off to the
hospital... Love, Rich, Lisa, Logan & Hannah

Hi Everyone, Well,
it finally happened at 2:09AM this morning. Lisa was in
labor since 8AM on the 6th, so needless to say, it was a very
long day! Lisa is doing great and had a much better
delivery than with Logan, which we are very thankful for.
Here are a few pictures taken right after Hannah was born and
some more a few hours later. Hannah was named after two
very special people in our family. Hannah is the name of
one of Rich's grandmothers (Rich's Dad's mom) and Irene is one
of Lisa's grandmothers (Lisa's Dad's mom). Rich's
grandmother passed away in the early 80's and Irene is alive,
kicking and as ornery as ever! We can only hope that
Hannah can carry on the legacy of these two incredible women.
I better head back to the hospital - I'll post more pictures as
we take them...
Love,
Rich, Lisa, Logan, & Hannah.

We're making more progress!
This weekend I pulled the mattress and box spring out of Baby Girl's
room so we could start getting furniture in and start decorating.
Below are pictures of the book case I built (with the help of my
friend Ron), the crib I sanded and painted and the finished product
with Baby Girl's new crib set and quilt.

My friend Ron and I took
Thursday and Friday off and started on Baby Girl's room. We
primed, painted, and put up bead board as well as chair rail and
baseboard. Ron painted the green while I worked on getting the
wood prepared. Since it rained on Thursday, we spent a good
portion of the day painting the bead board. I had planned on
spraying it with a spray gun, but Mother Nature had other plans.
On Friday we installed
everything. Thank goodness I have a nail gun or we'd still be
at it! I spent Saturday filling all of the nail holes and
caulking the seams and Sunday I made the wooden valance.
Her room turned out adorable
- fit for a princess!

Okay, now we can definitely
say that we're going to have a girl! Lisa had her second
ultrasound done on the 13th of June and we're happy to say
everything looks great so far - healthy and no parts between
the legs!

Actually, we don't know for
sure that it's a girl, so the name of this page might be changing
soon! Our new addition is due to meet us sometime around the
end of September or the beginning of October. We can't wait to
meet her. Below are some high definition ultrasounds that were
taken when Lisa was 16 1/2 weeks along. We're thinking it's a
girl because of the "lack of parts down there", but Lisa will be
getting another ultrasound around the 22 week mark and then we'll
know for sure. We're so excited!
