Happy Independence Day!

We have all kinds of pictures this week.  We're starting off with what I'd like to call "the blackmail picture of the week".  This one is going to come in awfully handy about 12 years from now.  Hannah must be allergic to mosquito bites.  She got a couple of nasty ones on her leg a few weeks back and then recently got bitten right by her tear duct (4th picture).  Her eye was almost swollen shut.  The Dr. said there wasn't much we could do about it and now the swelling has pretty much subsided.  At least it didn't seem to dampen her spirits.

I especially like the pictures of Logan and Hannah holding hands with their hats on.  They each grabbed their own hats and walked out the door holding hands - we couldn't have planned some better pictures of these two goof-balls.  Hannah was cracking us up because she insisted on wearing her purse on her shoulder.  The purse was so long it almost drug on the ground, but she didn't seem to care...

We had an Independence Day party at our house on Saturday.  Too bad we didn't get more pictures.  Lisa and I were pretty busy running around.  We had a great time though, almost 60 people came, so we had a house full.  I BBQ'ed some dogs and burgers and people brought all kinds of food.  Logan got to play with his first sparklers.  After he was done, he said "Dadda, can you take me to bed now?"  That boy was absolutely beat!  Lisa took a couple of pictures to show that poor, beaten down boy.

We got a giant waterslide for the kids.  It's pretty cool. We set it up in our backyard today.  It's pretty easy to put up and down - it inflates using a big blower.  The kids had a blast climbing and sliding and took pretty hard naps this afternoon.  It's going to be great for some upper body exercise (Lisa and I should know since we climbed and slid a good portion of the morning too!)
